Situated on a broad NW-SE spur at the SE foothills of Carrickbyrne Hill. The cropmark of a circular enclosure (diam. c. 35m) defined by a fosse feature is visible on aerial photographs (MM (50) 0, 1; (54) 3-5; (58) 0-2) and on digital aerial photographs (WX035-081_1 to _7) taken in 2006. Further images taken by Jim Foran using a drone-mounted camera in July 2018 shows a narrow entrance gap in the fosse at SE and other gaps at S and W.
