Marked as a rectangular embanked or moated enclosure (ext. dims. c. 45m N-S; c. 40m E-W) only on 1839 ed. of the OS 6 inch map, and situated on a slight E-facing slope. This is a slightly raised, ill defined rectangular or subcircular, grass-covered area (dims. c. 28nm E-W; c. 25m N-S) defined by the wide shallow dip of a fosse (Wth c. 20m) at W and S. (Barry 1977, 225, WX 92)
