What is recorded here

Located on an E-facing slope. This is a circular grass and fern-covered area (diam. 43m NW-SE) defined by an earthen bank, best preserved at NW (Wth 7m; int. H 1 m) declining to a scarp (H 1.2m) at SE. There is evidence of a flat bottomed fosse (Wth of base 4m; int. D 2m; ext. D 1m) only W NW. There is no visible entrance. Moated site (WX035-009----) is c. 65m to the ESE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload/revision: 12 October, 2012
