Located in the valley of a SE-NW stream which is c. 80m to the N, and c. 670m SSE of where it joins the N-S River Barrow/Nore. Structure 2 is within settlement (WX034-086----), which was excavated by J. Hession in 2010 as part of the N25 New Ross bypass scheme. Structure 2 is 1-2m S of House 1 (WX034-086001-) and is a U-shaped area (int. dims c. 5m E-W; c. 8m N-S) open to the N and defined by a shallow ditch (Wth 1m; D 0.15-0.17m) and perhaps a clay wall. It has few internal features and is thought to have functioned as a barn or storage area. (Hession 2010, 31-3; 2013)
