An armorial plaque ‘three feet by two feet’ (dims. c. 0.9m x c. 0.0.6m) representing the arms of Thomas Knowles who was Sovereign of New Ross in 1633 has the initials TK and the date 1642? in relief at the top. The stone was kept at a farmhouse in Arnestown (Vigors 1898-1900), but it is now lost.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
