What is recorded here

Marked as a subcircular embanked enclosure (diam. c. 50m E-W; c. 45m N-S) on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6 inch map and located towards the bottom of the NW-facing slope of a low NE-SW ridge. This is a slightly dished and grass-covered circular area (diam. c. 35m). It has been completely quarried away since 1995 (Bing Image). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload/revision: 27 August, 2012
