Located on a slight S-facing slope. This is a wedge shaped overgrown area (dims. 46m E side; 33m W side; 40m E-W) defined by flat bottomed moats (at N: Wth 7m; D 1.3-2.5m). There is a record of a stone walled structure (dims. 8m x 5m), probably a house site, in the interior (Barry 1977. 220, WX 56).
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
