Situated just off the S side of a low hill. The Parish church of Chapel parish is within a neglected circular graveyard (diam. c. 55-60m) defined by a stone-faced earthen bank and hedge. This is an undifferentiated church oriented ESE WNW defined by the wide spread (Wth c. 3m; H 0.8-1.4m) of collapsed walls (int. L 12.8m; int. Wth 5.8m). There is an entrance (Wth 1.7m) towards the W end of the S wall. St Francis' Well (WX031-002----) is located c. 470m to the SSW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996).
