What is recorded here

Located in a fold on a SW-facing slope overlooking the col between Lacken Hill, c. 1.15km to the SW and a hill in Berkeley c. 500m to the NNW. Centre-line testing (E4067) in advance of the N25 New Ross by-pass identified archaeological material that was set aside for resolution as Lacken 1 (Doyle et al 2010, 46). It was fully excavated (00E4123) when five pits (dims 0.38m; D 0.07m to 1.22m x 0.75m; D 0.16m) and a post-hole in a small area (dims c. 5m x c. 5m) were recorded, but no artefacts were recovered.
