From: O’Mahony, A. (1987, 5, b) Attached to the built-up north wall of the S transept is a coffin-shaped slab (Wth 0.42-0.67; H 1.98m) bearing the effigy of a man. He is dressed in a tunic which falls in folds to his ankles. He also wears an over-garment, the sleeves of which are slit and hang below the elbow. His left handholds the cord which keeps this garment on his shoulders. His right hand wears a gauntlet. His hair hangs in large curls over his ears and his head rests on a cushion. His feet rest on an animal. This effigy is also carved in Dundry stone. Date: c. 1300. (Hunt 1974, vol. 1, 239-40, No. 273)
