From O’Mahony, A. (1987, 17, No. 10) Attached to the north wall of the Chancel is a tombstone (Wth 1m; H 2.52m; T 0.21m) with an inscription around the edge. There is a shield with the initials E C towards the top of the stone, slightly left of the centre. The top left-hand corner of the stone is broken. It reads:
.... the bodies of henry culcupe gent: who dyed the 29 day of sept: 1619 ellinor his wife whoe died the blank et Zabulon their son whoe dyed the 14 day ... stone broken 1630 together with Edward Cooper gent: laite husband to the aforesaid Ellinor whoe died the bank
