Archaeological testing (97E0250) close to the site of St. Saviour’s church (WX029-013074-) produced one U-shaped pit (diam. 2m; D 1m) cut into the natural shale that produced glazed and unglazed medieval pottery. There were no other features. (Sullivan 1998)
