Situated on a NE-facing slope with a small NW-SE stream c. 100m to the NE, and the sea-shore is c. 700m to the SE. A Vase urn with a cremation (Grattan-Esmonde 1903, 69-70), a bowl food vessel with a crouched inhumation in a cist that may have been discovered in 1888 and a bowl food vessel, possibly with cremation in a cist, (Ó Ríordáin 1936, 187-90) were discovered in close proximity to each other. (Waddell 1990. 157) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996).
