Marked as a square embanked or moated enclosure (ext. dims. c. 50m N-S; c. 50m E-W) on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. It is located in a slight fold on the N-facing slope of a hill. It is not visible at ground level in pasture. (Barry 1977, 215, WX 15) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996).
