Situated towards the bottom of an E-facing slope above the floodplain of the N-S River Slaney, which is c. 620m to the E. The cropmark of a bivallate enclosure (ext. diam. c. 40m) with a small gap in the outer defining feature at E is visible on aerial photographs (MM (62) 12-14).
