Marked as a circular enclosure on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and located towards the top of the S-facing slope of a broad hill. The cropmark of an oval enclosure (dims. c. 50m N-S; c. 30m E-W) defined by a single fosse feature is visible on aerial photographs (MM (32) 31-36). It can also be seen on the OSI series of aerial photographs (2005).
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
