What is recorded here

Marked as subrectangular enclosure (dims c. 85m N-S; c. 70m E-W) only on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. It is situated in a level landscape in the basin of the NE-SW River Sow with the stream c. 400m to the S. No antiquity is visible at ground level in pasture, and it may have been a field. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload/revision: 11 July 2012
