What is recorded here

Located in the valley of a small SW-NE stream, which is c. 60m to the S and c. 100 to the E. A large circular enclosure (diam c. 75m) defined by a single fosse feature is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs (MM (55) 0-2; ASIAP, WX 97, 2-4; 101, 14-18). There is no visible entrance gap but the perimeter is slightly truncated by a NW-SE road at NE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload/revision: 25 June, 2012
