What is recorded here

Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 50m) on the 1839 ed. and as a ditched enclosure (ext. diam. c. 55m) on the 1925 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. It is visible as a slightly dished grass-covered area (diam. 40m) with portion of the bank at S surviving in a road bank (C 23m). It is visible as a double ditched cropmark enclosure (int. diam. c. 35m) on aerial photographs (MM (1) 18-21), and the cropmark can be seen on the OSI series of aerial photographs (1995). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
