Marked as a circular enclosure on the1839 (diam. c. 50m) and 1925 (diam. c. 40m) eds of the OS 6 inch map. Situated on the plateau of a NW-SE spur in the foothills of the Blackstairs Mountains with the source of a small N-S stream c. 170m to the SE. The stream joins the NW-SE Boro River c. 500m further S. This is a slightly dished area (diam. c. 42m N-S; c. 39m E-W) in a harvested cereal crop, with a curve in a field bank to the W (C 34m). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996).
