What is recorded here

What is described as a cist containing earthen pots that was discovered many years previously in Kilpierce townland is described in correspondence from the 1940s in the National Museum of Ireland (SMR file), but it was not investigated and the precise location is unknown. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 6 June, 2012

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
