Situated at the crest of the W-facing slope of the valley of the River Slaney with the stream c. 550m to the E and a small E-W stream is c. 170m to the N. The cropmark of an enclosure (int. diam. c. 65m) defined by two fosse features was recorded in the summer of 2018 by Barry Lacey using a drone-mounted camera. The inner bank is incorporated in a field bank NW-E-SE, and there may be an entrance through both fosses at W (max. ext. diam. c. 80m). It is also visible on OSI ortho images.
