Situated on a fairly steep W-facing slope overlooking an E-W stream c. 60m to the W and Clone church (WX015-023001-) that is c. 120m to the WSW. Archaeological testing (06E0287) produced archaeological features in many trenches including an area (dims. c. 30m E-W; c. 20m N-S) with a number of pits and gullies, and a hearth. The burnt spread (WX015-023009-) is c. 30m to the NW. (McLouhglin 2006, 5-6; 2009)
