Situated on a fairly steep W-facing slope overlooking an E-W stream c. 60m to the W and Clone church (WX015-023001-) that is c. 120m to the WSW. Archaeological testing (06E0287) produced archaeological features in many trenches including a spread of soil (L 4m) that contained burnt stone, charcoal, burnt bone and slag. The excavated features (WX015-023010-) are c. 30m to the SE. (McLouhglin 2006, 5-6; 2009) Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 2 May, 2012
