Situated on a gentle N-facing slope with the source of a small S-N steam just to the E. Marked as a rectangular enclosure (dims. c. 55m NE-SW; c. 40m NW-SE) on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. Nothing is visible at ground level in a cereal crop. It is listed as a moated site (Barry 1977, 215, WX 22).
