What is recorded here

Situated in a low-lying col with slightly higher ground c. 300m to the W and c. 200m to the E. Marked as circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 50-55m) on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map and as an oval field (dims. c. 60m E-W; c. 40m N-S) on the 1924 ed. Nothing is visible at ground level apart from a curve in the field bank at E (C 19m) that has now been removed (OSI ap (2005).
