Situated on a gentle N-facing slope in the valley of a W-E stream which is c. 100m to the N and c. 750m W of the N-S River Slaney. Marked as rectangular embanked or moated enclosure (ext. dims c. 70m E-W; c. 55m N-S) on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. No feature is visible at ground level in a cereal crop. It has been listed as a moated site (Barry 1977, 224, WX 86).
