According to the Civil Survey (1654-6) a castle and manor house, which were probably the same structure, and a mill (WX011-030----) at Cloghneskin (Clogh) were owned by William Plunket, a Protestant, in 1641. He also owned land in the townlands of Cain, Toberanierin, Ballinacur and the unknown Moynsleave. The location of the castle remains unknonw. (Simington 1953, 20)
