There is a record of the discovery of an oval stone-lined pit (dims. c. 2.1m x 1.2m; D c. 0.9m) and stone-lined flue, both burnt, at Ballyduffbeg. Its location is not known. (Ffrench 1907, 90; O'Bróin 1925). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996).
