Situated at the bottom of a fairly steep scarp that is at the bottom of a N-facing slope, with an E-W stream c. 65m to the N. The well is marked on the 1839 and 1924 eds of the OS 6-inch map and described as 'White Well' in gothic script on both. There is no well surviving now, and there is no evidence that it was ever venerated.
