What is recorded here

Situated on a slight SW-facing slope. This is a subcircular grass and fern-ocvered area (dims. 34m NW-SE; 30m NE-SW) defined by an earthen bank (Wth c. 3m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1.4m) which is incorporated in field bank NE-S, with traces of an external fosse S-N. The entrance may have been at SW where there is a slight dip in the perimeter. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload/revision: 10 April, 2012
