What is recorded here

An encrusted urn that was found in a gravel pit in Ramsfort Park during 1868 is now in the National Museum of Scotland. Its exact findspot is not known. (Kavanagh 1973, 567) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload/revision: 1 March, 2012

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
