Marked as a standing stone only on 1940 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a steep N-facing slope overlooking the valley of the W-E Blackwater Stream. It was recorded in 1939 as a squat stone with a rectangular cross-section (dims of base c. 0.8m x c. 0.7m; H 0.65-0.8m) with a rectangular top (dims c. 0.4m x c. 0.45m) that might have been broken off. It was not visible at ground level in pasture in 1987.
