Situated in a low-lying position within the valley of the W-E Inch River, with the stream c. 60m to the S. This is the church of Inismocholmoc or 'Colman's Island', listed as a church of Glendalough diocese in 1179, which survives as the parish church of Inch down to the present. According to a Visitation by Thomas Ram, the Protestant bishop of Ferns, in 1615 there was no priest, and the condition of the church and chancel were not recorded (Hore 1900-11, vol. 6, 271). The church was described as ruinous but the chancel was in repair in a survey of 1630 (Ronan 1927, 105). The site is occupied by a Church of Ireland church that was built in 1831 (Lewis 1837, vol. 2, 15) within an irregularly-shaped graveyard (dims. c. 80m E-W; c. 30-40m N-S). There are no visible remains of an older structure at ground level.
