Situated on a gentle S and SW-facing slope of Pallis Hill. This is a raised rectangular platform (dims. 23m N-S; 17.5m E-W) covered in dense scrub, with traces of an internal bank at the NE angle. It is surrounded by a moat (Wth 6-7m; int. D 1-2m), but the moat does not survive on the S and much of the W sides. (Barry 1977, 225, WX 98)
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wexford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1996). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
