A scattered deposit of brushwood and twigs in the drain face (Wth 2.05m; D 0.5m). The brushwood is irregularly arranged and denser toward the N side, with twigs scattered throughout the site. The elements are set at a variety of angles and there is no apparent structure. A single chisel point is present. The wood is in good condition and is set in well-humified Sphagnum peat. This site is one of a number of similar structures in a 24m length of this drain face including SMR WM039-071---- and SMR WM039-070---- immediately adjacent to this site to the NE and SW respectively.
