Situated on a rise, in pasture, with restricted views to N and S. Depicted on the revised 1910 ed. OS 25-inch map as a subcircular-shaped earthwork adjoining the public road to S. Monument described in 1973 as a roughly circular-shaped area (diam. 40m) enclosed by an earth and stone bank with no trace of an external fosse. The interior has a SW-facing slope. There are a number of small depressions in the W half of the interior and two slightly larger depressions in the E half. Monument is visible today as a roughly circular-shaped tree-lined earthwork on Digital Globe aerial photography. Compiled by Alison McQueen, Vera Rahilly and Caimin O’Brien.
