Situated on a rise (300ft/91m OD) in undulating pasture, with good views of the surrounding landscape. Depicted as an earthwork on Larkin’s 1808 map of Co. Westmeath (NLI, MS 46,580). Depicted as a small hillock on the 1876 ed. OS 6-inch map which may have been utilised to site an enclosure. Levelled monument described in 1982 as no surface remains visible. Site of monument is visible today as a small hillock on Digital Globe aerial photography.
