Situated on a rise, in pasture. Annotated 'Fort' on the 1837 ed. OS Fair Plan map and depicted as a roughly circular-shaped earthwork. Depicted on the revised 1910 ed. OS 25-inch map as a subcircular-shaped earthwork (approx. dims. 37m NE-SW; 40m NW-SE). Levelled monument described in 1973 as no surface remains visible. According to local information, this was a small circular-shaped area enclosed by a bank. Levelled monument is visible today as a very faint circular-shaped cropmark on OSi aerial photography.
