Situated on a high ridge, in pasture, with good views. Ringfort (WM031-025----) lies c. 180m to W. Depicted on the revised 1910 ed. OS 25-inch map as a roughly circular-shaped earthwork. Monument described in 1973 as a small, roughly circular-shaped area (diam. 31m) defined by a low inner bank, a shallow intervening fosse and an outer bank. There is an outer bank defining the S half and a stone wall defining the N half. The interior rises gently form the perimeter toward the centre. Monument is visible today as a tree-planted earthwork on Digital Globe aerial photography. Compiled by Alison McQueen, Vera Rahilly and Caimin O’Brien. Date of upload: 12 November 2019
