Situated on a rise (314ft /96m OD), in gently undulating pasture. Ringfort (WM030-095----) lies c. 130m to ENE. Annotated 'Fort' n the 1837 OS Fair Plan map and depicted as an oval-shaped earthwork. Depicted on the revised 1910 ed. OS 25-inch map as a roughly pentagonal-shaped earthwork. Monument described in 1973 as a roughly oval-shaped area (dims. 32m N-S) enclosed by a bank and a field wall. A low bank of earth and stone is visible from SE-S-SW-W-N and a gently curving field wall encloses the monument from N-E-S-SE. The interior has a gentle E-facing slope and some small boulders project from the surface. There is a sharp drop in ground level on the exterior of the monument at E. Levelled ringfort is visible today as a curvilinear cropmark from SE-S-SW-WNW and is define by field boundaries elsewhere, on Digital Globe aerial photography.
