Situated in gently undulating pasture. Depicted on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map as a circular-shaped tree-planted enclosure on top of a hillock marked by at a spot height of 273ft/83mOD. Depicted on the revised 1910 ed. OS 25-inch map as a roughly oval-shaped earthwork defined by a scarp from W-N-NE and by a field boundary from NE-E-S-W. Monument is visible today as a tree-planted earthwork on Digital Globe aerial photography.
