Situated on a high ridge, in pasture, with commanding views of the surrounding landscape. A castle ringwork (WM030-073----) lies c. 195m to E. Depicted on the revised 1910 ed. OS 25-inch map as an oval-shaped earthwork cut by a trackway running WNW-ESE across the SW sector. Monument described in 1973 as a small, roughly circular-shaped area (diam. 27m) enclosed by a low scarp. The perimeter has been dug away from WSW-W-WNW and from N-NE. The surface of the interior is uneven. Monument is visible today as a much disturbed roughly oval-shaped earthwork on Digital Globe aerial photography.
