Situated on a low ridge running NW-SE, in pasture, with good views of the surrounding landscape. Ringfort (WM030-043----) lies c. 120m to NW. Annotated ‘fort’ on the 1837 OS Fair Plan map and depicted as an oval-shaped tree-planted enclosure. Depicted on the revised 1910 ed. OS 25-inch map as a subrectangular-shaped earthwork. Levelled monument described in 1973 as no surface remains visible. Levelled monument is visible today as a vague outline of a subrectangular-shaped cropmark on Digital Globe aerial photography.
