Situated in gently undulating pasture. Depicted on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map as a roughly oval-shaped earthwork. Depicted on the revised 1910 ed. OS 25-inch map as a substantial oval-shaped earthwork (approx. dims. 48m N-S; 42m E-W) enclosed by a bank, which has been intersected from S-SW by a post-1700 field boundary. Monument is visible today as an oval-shaped tree-lined earthwork on Digital Globe aerial photography. Compiled by Alison McQueen, Vera Rahilly and Caimin O’Brien. Date of upload: 07 November 2019
