What is recorded here

On a slight rise of ground with good views in all directions. Roughly D-shaped graveyard (dims. c. 50m N-S; 85m NE-SW) defined by a low broad poorly preserved earth and stone bank with remains of drystone facing in places and traces of a shallow external fosse. The straight side (L c. 70m) of the graveyard boundary is at S, curving boundary bank from SW-W-N-E-SE may preserve line of ecclesiastical enclosure. Church (WM027-061----) stands in centre of graveyard. A post-1700 metal chain link fence has been erected on top of the bank now acts as the enclosing element of the graveyard. Memorials date from post-1700 period onwards, some of which have been erected inside the church. All of the headstones outside of the church are located to the S of the building.
