Situated in relatively low lying wet and peaty pasture, at the SE edge of an expanse of bog, formerly known as Lough Atrim, prior to drainage. A possible crannog (WM027-030----) lies c. 20m to NW. Depicted on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map as a roughly rectangular-shaped tree-planted area (dims. 30m NE-SW; 26.5m NW-SE), not depicted as an antiquity on any ed. OS 6-inch map.
