What is recorded here

Cropmark of enclosure (approx. diam. 25m) visible on Digital Globe aerial photographs. Not depicted as an antiquity on the first ed. OS 6-inch map but as a circular enclosure with possible building in E quadrant. Enclosure possibly associated with OS trig station marking spot height of 491 ft. OD which is depicted on the 1910 ed. OS 25-inch map. Possibly a post 1700 enclosure associated with the Ordnance Survey trig. station. Alternatively could be the remains of an archaeological enclosure that was reused by the Ordnance Survey. Compiled by: Caimin O'Brien based on details provided by Edmond O'Donovan Date of upload: 26 November 2019
