Situated to E of a gentle rise, in gently undulating pasture, with good views to E and S. A ringfort (WM025-130----) lies c. 60m to W. Not depicted or named on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map, where there is a farmyard shown. Depicted as a U-shaped structure annotated named ‘Adamstown Castle (in Ruins)’ on the revised 1913 ed. OS 25-inch map. Area of monument is occupied by a modern dwelling on Digital Globe aerial photgraphy.
