What is recorded here

Situated on a slight rise, in gently undulating pasture, with extensive views to ESE and SE. The site of a standing stone (WM025-127----) lies c. 145m to SE. Depicted on the revised 1913 ed. OS 25-inch map as a roughly oval-shaped area. Levelled monument described in 1971 as vague traces of a roughly oval-shaped earthwork defined intermittently by a very slight rise in the ground which is defined by a dark green cropmark which is assumed to be the backfilled fosse. The entrance is not recognisable. The ‘interior’ has a slight SE-facing slope. Compiled by Alison McQueen, Vera Rahilly and Caimin O’Brien. Date of upload: 24 September 2019

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
